Tournament Format
- submission only
- 5 guaranteed matches
- 5 minute rounds (submission does not end the match)
You are guaranteed 5 matches against similarly sized opponents. Points are tallied at the end of each match based on the scoring rubric outlined below. Once the belt handicap has been applied, the number of points that you have accrued from taps is subtracted from your submission points to give you a score for the day. Total points throughout the season will be tracked to determine the leaders in each belt/weight category.
Example Match Scoring:
A – White Belt vs. Purple Belt
Purple submits White 7 times and gets submitted once.
Points for Purple/Points against White = 7/2 = 3.5 points
Points against Purple/Points for White = 1 x 2 = 2 points
